::At a cafe, you'll find a tall blonde chick with fox-like features and a sour attitude wearing glasses, typing on a laptop that looks like it was made from flesh and demonic souls. She seems fairly irritated, sipping on coffee.::

Because the concept makes no sense to me.

I suppose then that it is odd to you, that humans tend to take such concepts for granted.

Well, at least a full third of the group I'm with are humans, but none of them do love or trust.

That is why I stated "tend".

Experiences that any of them have might cause them to disregard, shun, or ignore such a concept, because they have a negative impression upon it.

Is ignorance to the concept a common thing in your group?

... Yes, in a way. We're taught altruism, compassion and sympathy are signs of weakness and to be avoided.

Then that would be why you are ignorant upon it. As that is your belief, I cannot question it.

What I wonder is why you are then questioning love itself, when you were taught that it's a weakness.

I... find myself interested in emotions. Scientifically speaking.

I am not exactly knowledgeable on the scientific aspects of emotional reactions, however.

That if the Illusion Witches do not dismiss it, others will influence it, and we will be undone by the Mental Sphere and Endymion.

And nothing other than just "you should dismiss it"...?

"It is dangerous. It is foreign. It is lethal."

... That is... Pitiable.

I would not call it "lethal", however-- my end is not a likely conclusion to people who are in love with another.

The worst I would call it is... Irrational.

Which is why it is dangerous. Hatred, suspicion, and distrust are preferred.

[memoryistime]

... However, that would result in more conflict, the inability to cooperate, and self-destruction.

If anything, hatred, suspicion, and distrust is more lethal and dangerous than "love" could ever be. "Love"'s main purpose, after all, is to be able to ensure a continued survival among others.

If everyone hated or were suspicious of others, humanity would have destroyed itself by now.
